When community radio was born in South Africa in the early nineties, East Rand Stereo became one of the first to go on air in 1995. Nineteen years later, East Rand Stereo still entertains the community of Ekurhuleni night and day.
East Rand Stereo is currently a leader in community radio, but had a humble beginning. The radio station was born from the hard work and dedication of a small group of volunteers, knowing that their efforts would bring the sounds of local radio to the community.
