About Motheo FM:
Background:
Motheo FM is a subsidiary of Motheo Multi Media Institute. ICASA licensed Motheo Multi Media Institute to broadcast in the Motheo area in the Free State. Motheo FM is an association incorporated under section 21 and by its nature it is a non profit organization. It covers Motheo District, some parts of Lejweleputswa, Xhariep and Thabo Mofutsanyana District. It also reaches certain areas of Lesotho and the Northern Cape. Motheo FM started broadcasting on the 10th of April 2009. It broadcast in Sesotho, Setswana, English and Xhosa, 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Motheo FM boast a team of DJ’s and Presenters who are talented and dedicated in their work.
Programming Mandate:
Our mandate in terms of broadcasting can be briefly described as talk, music, giving news and information concentrating mainly on the local content within Motheo District Municipality.
Purpose:
The purpose of Motheo FM is to establish developmental media platforms, provide the youth of Motheo and the general community with access to media facilities and information.
Mission and Vision:
To serve the people of Motheo District especially the youth who in particular, by working effectively with stakeholders through:
