The world of Scandal! will be shaken up once again by a mysterious new character named Damon Bradbury, who will be played by stage and screen star Craig Urbani.

Damon is a rich and successful businessman who oozes charisma, which draws people towards him. He enjoys taking risks in business and life, so some of his choices and dealings are questionable. Damon might seem perfect, but his desire for belonging and constant need for approval is demonstrated by his need to seek out his sister, who is shocked to learn that he even exists. The indiscretions of his past are justified by his motto of ‘rules are meant to be bent’.

What is Damon doing in the world of Scandal! and will his past catch up with him? Find out on Scandal! on e.tv and eHD.

After an intense cross-country knock-out round, Last Fighter Standing debuts on e.tv on Monday, 25 July at 10:30PM. Not only can viewers expect to see some of the best Mixed Martial Arts fighting on TV today, but they will have a rare opportunity to see the back stories of these talented fighters, in a never-before-seen reality show format.

Last Fighter Standing is a 12-part reality show which follows professional fighters from various martial arts disciplines as they face battles around the country in their quest to be crowned the Last Fighter Standing – and win their share of R1 million. The grand finale will be held on 15 October at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, which will be broadcast as a two hour live spectacular on e.tv.

“Last Fighter Standing gives fighters from different disciplines including: Karate, Kickboxing, Muay-Thai, Muay Boran, MMA and Grappling the opportunity to compete against each other for major prize money,” says LFS spokesperson Darius Jakovchuk. “Action-packed elimination tournaments will see one person in each division officially take the title of the best fighter in the country and finally, crown the Last Fighter Standing SA Champion 2016. Thanks to e.tv, the entire country gets to come along for the ride”.

“e.tv is known for its action-packed entertainment, and this new reality show format is sure to entertain and thrill our audiences. It gives viewers a rare glimpse into the lives of these athletes,” says Marlon Davids, MD: e.tv Channels Division.

Last Fighter Standing, which is sanctioned by the Martial Arts South Africa Pro Commission, will hold qualifying tournaments in the largest cities in South Africa. There, top professional fighters from around the country will compete in different divisions, in the city closest to their home. Male fighters from three weight categories: Lightweight, Welterweight and Heavyweight; and one female division, Bantamweight will compete in an eight-fighter elimination tournament. The winners who qualify at these Provincial elimination tournaments will compete in the final at the TicketPro Dome Johannesburg in October 2016.

The Rules

Fighters have a limit of 20 seconds on the ground. There are two minutes per round and three rounds per fight. This ensures more energetic fights and encourages fighters to bring their all to the table. A variety of leg take downs, foot sweeps, hip throws and knock downs are allowed, to bring the opponents to the ground. With a 10-second ‘No Time Wasting Rule’, shortened rounds and limited time on the ground, fighters will have to show more wit and grit to emerge victorious. With the set of rules used at the Last Fighter Standing arena, more spectacular KO’s and ground finishes are anticipated.

TX: Monday 25 July at 10:30PM on e.tv and eHD on Openview HD (Channel 104) and DStv (Channel 194).
